Bônus Rural

Developed in just 30 days, the application simplified the management of more than R$ 1.5 million in bonuses in its first year alone, bringing farmers, retailers, and public administration closer together.

Bônus Rural

The Rural Bonus was created to modernize and streamline the process of managing agricultural incentive payments in local governments. The idea emerged from the needs of the municipality of Harmonia (RS), which sought to optimize its incentive program for farmers, in which invoices are converted into points that can be used for purchases at participating establishments.

In addition, merchant participation was limited — many small businesses did not take part in the program due to its complexity and lack of technological integration.

To understand the specific characteristics of the process, SPO began working closely with the municipal administrative department and the Department of Agriculture. The goal was clear: to understand the system’s pain points, the user profile, and the structure required to transform a manual procedure into an intuitive digital experience.

The result was a complete application that allows users to:

  • Receive bonuses;
  • Monitor their balance;
  • View participating establishments;
  • Track all transactions.

All of this is done in a simple, fast, and secure way, which completely changed the landscape: businesses and service providers across different sectors now accept the bonus easily and safely, expanding the acceptance network and creating a more dynamic flow between rural and urban areas.

Simplified management of more than R$ 1.5 million in bonuses in just the first year

The Rural Bonus represents a new model of interaction between public administration, the community, and local commerce. With the app, more than R$ 1.5 million in bonuses were digitally managed in the first 12 months, stimulating the regional economy and ensuring transparency and practicality in the use of resources.

The project also expanded access to technology in small towns, where the primary sector is the main economic driver.

Innovation delivered in record time

The system’s development and configuration were completed in just 30 days, including setup in local shops and training for farmers and municipal managers.

This rapid delivery was essential to ensure that the project quickly integrated into the community’s daily routine.
