BD_Tech Lab #1: intelligence that connects technology, people, and purpose

Written by Júlio Feiden Partner

We live in a time when Artificial Intelligence has ceased to be a promise of the future and has become part of the present’s infrastructure. It is already behind the messages we exchange, the purchases we make, the medical diagnoses that save lives, and the decisions that guide entire companies.

But amid so much speed, one question continues to resonate: how can we ensure that this technology remains in service of people—and not the other way around?

AI: from invisible routine to tangible transformation

According to a recent survey by Fundação Itaú and Datafolha (2025), 93% of Brazilians already use Artificial Intelligence tools, even if many don’t realize it. It’s the assistant that replies to an email, the app that organizes a spreadsheet, the chatbot that schedules a medical appointment, or the algorithm that recommends the next movie.

In industry, the impact is also significant. Data from IBGE (2024) shows that the use of AI grew 163.2% in Brazilian industrial companies, especially in automating repetitive tasks, production control, and data analysis. And Brazil has surpassed the global average in corporate use of the technology, according to IBM (2024). A clear sign that we are moving from being mere consumers of innovation to becoming creators of intelligent solutions.

The power to simplify what once seemed complex

Automating tasks, issuing an invoice in seconds, reorganizing medical appointments, interpreting scattered data, and structuring confusing systems were actions that not long ago required time, effort, and entire teams. Today, AI performs these tasks seamlessly, learning through use and expanding human decision-making capacity.

This transformation is not only technical—it is social. Artificial Intelligence is democratizing access to information and efficiency, enabling companies of all sizes and citizens from anywhere to access tools once restricted to large corporations.

When applied with purpose, technology becomes a means to better care for people, assets, and the future of organizations. That is what drives SPO: using AI as a bridge between innovation and inclusion.

From data to decisions: the new role of AI in business

Artificial Intelligence has expanded to become a strategic agent for CEOs and managers seeking to build businesses that are more agile, sustainable, and data-driven. Yet there is something even more valuable at stake: the ability to anticipate scenarios and make informed decisions in real time with information that used to remain fragmented across spreadsheets and disconnected systems.

This thinking led us to develop B2B and B2G solutions and to collaborate with universities and research centers to transform ideas into real impact.

This is how SUSI was created—an intelligent assistant that, through WhatsApp, reorganizes medical schedules and optimizes care workflows, ensuring greater efficiency for healthcare institutions and significantly reducing missed appointments.

In the agricultural sector, we developed IAGRO, an agent capable of issuing rural producers’ invoices from a simple audio message. Technology thus simplifies processes and brings innovation closer to producers, even those without daily contact with digital tools.

And within companies, we create systems capable of translating data into decisions, automating bureaucratic processes, and strengthening both public and private management with intelligence.

These examples show that, for SPO, AI is not an end in itself but a tool for tangible transformation—one that generates real results, reduces technological inequality, and brings innovation closer to people.
